The Lençois now possible by plane from Aracati

Azul announced on June 22 a new flight connecting the four flagship air destinations of the "Rota das Emoções": Canoa Quebrada - Jericoacoara - the Parnaiba Delta - the Lençois. The emblematic destinations of the Northeast coast between the states of Maranhão, Piauí and Ceará.

The announcement was made at the Planalto Palace in the presence of the Chief Minister of the Civil House, Ciro Nogueira and the Director of Institutional Relations of Azul, Fabio Campos. With this new route, Azul offers daily flights from Aracati, just 30 km from Parajuru, from 8 a.m. to Fortaleza. The capital of Ceará will serve as a stopover to then reach Jericoacoara, then Parnaíba in the Piauí, one of the entrances to the lush Parnaíba Delta.

From there, the flight will reach Barreirinhas, in the Maranhão, the entrance to the Lençóis Maranhenses Park. The last stop will be in São Luiz, from where it is possible to connect to the entire Azul home network. Flights from São Luiz will depart at 15:00 daily and follow the same route, arriving in Aracati at 21:20.

These new flights are scheduled for entry into service on 5 September on Cessna Grand Caravan aircraft. They will fly at low altitude in order to offer an incredible panoramic view of the entire coast during the ride.

If it took several days to reach the Lençois by car from Parajuru, you will now have the opportunity in a single day, starting from Parajuru to visit one of the most beautiful sites in the world, classified as a World Heritage Site.
